Tea Ceremony @ The Veranda at Thornton Park

  • 111 North Summerlin Avenue Orlando, FL, 32801 United States (map)

Join me for a Meditative Tea Ceremony
Every Second Tuesday of the Month
The Veranda, Thornton Park, Downtown Orlando

This intimate gathering invites you to unwind and reconnect through a gentle yin meditation, designed to restore vitality, clear the mind, and open the heart.

You are welcome exactly as you are—no expectations, no prior experience necessary.

About the Ceremony:
Tea, or Camellia Sinensis, has been revered for thousands of years as a spiritual elixir, originating in Yunnan, China. It’s a simple, natural way to calm the mind and attune ourselves to the rhythms of Nature. As the second most consumed beverage in the world (after water), tea has woven its way into countless cultures, inviting us to slow down and appreciate the sacredness in simplicity.

In this ceremony, we will honor Cha Dao, the "Way of Tea"—a practice that encourages stillness, mindfulness, and a deep connection to both ourselves and the world around us. Tea is known as the "Great Connector," opening a bridge to clarity, grounding, and deep presence. The leaf adapts to your needs, offering the perfect balance of energy and peace.

We’ll share several rounds of tea, prepared in the traditional Shamanic Daoist style, in silence, with meditative sounds to guide the experience. Afterward, space will be held for reflection and sharing.

What to Bring:

  • A rug and pillow to sit on will be provided, but feel free to bring extra cushion or blanket if needed for additional support.

  • A journal to capture any insights, reflections, or messages that may arise during the meditation.

Investment: $30

Parking:
Free and paid street parking options are available nearby. A map of parking in the area will be emailed upon registration.
